Gold price and gold price chart
The price of gold depends on the market, currency and unit being quoted. The chart below displays XAU/USD from OANDA through TradingView, with prices in US dollars per troy ounce. It is a market reference, not a Gold Mining token price or an offer to buy physical gold.
How to read the gold price chart
Select a time range to compare market movements. Check the symbol, currency, market status and timestamp shown in the chart. Data may be delayed and markets can be closed; the last displayed price is not necessarily an executable quote.
Spot price, benchmark and physical gold
Spot quotations and the LBMA Gold Price are different reference prices. A retail physical gold quote may also include premiums, refining, delivery and other costs. Compare the same unit and purity before comparing offers.
Gold and digital tokens
A token associated with a mining project is a separate asset. Its name does not establish legal ownership of gold, redemption rights or a fixed relationship with the gold price. Read the issuer documentation, token terms and independent reports.
